William REED 1803

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I WILLIAM REED of Brompton in the Parish of Gillingham in the County of Kent Shipwright being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding for which God be praised and concerning the uncertainty of this mortal Life Do therefore make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I commend my Immortal Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the alone Merits and Intercession of our ever Adorable Redeemer Jesus Christ to obtain the remission of all my Sins and an    ?    with them who are sanctified And my Body I commit to the Earth to be interred at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named And as for and concerning all such worldly Estate and Effects as I am or shall be possessed or interested in or entitled to at the time of my Decease I give devise and dispose thereof as follows First I will and direct that all my just Debts and funeral Charges shall be fully paid and satisfied And I give devise and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife REBECCAH REED all that my Freehold Messuage or Tenement (in which I now reside) situate at Brompton in the Parish of Gillingham aforesaid with the Rights privileges and appurtenance thereunto belonging To hold to her the said REBECCAH REED her Heirs and Assigns for ever And as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Stock Funds Monies and Securities for Money and Effects of what nature or Kind soever and wheresoever I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Wife REBECCAH REED her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns according to my Estate and Interest therein And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Wife REBECCAH REED sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this thirtieth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four WILLIAM REED Signed Sealed published and declared by the said WILLIAM REED the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request have subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto in his presence and in the presence of each other F. AGED 74 YEARS
MRS. REBEKAH REED
WIFE OF THE ABOVE DIED THE 9th DAY OF

FEBRUARY 1815 AGED 82 YEARS
ALSO WILLIAM REED SON OF THE ABOVE
DEPARTED THIS LIFE 25th APRIL 1771

AGED 12 YEARS
