John WHITTHORNE 1815

THIS IS THE LAST WILL and Testament of me JOHN WHITTHORNE of Broad Alley Brompton in the parish of Gillingham in the County of Kent Shipwright which being of sound mind memory and understanding I do make publish and declare in manner and form following that is to say I give devise and bequeath all and every my Freehold & Leasehold messuages Lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever unto my dear wife MARY ANN WHITTHORNE for and during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto and among my Children hereafter named that is to say my Daughter MARY the Wife of ISAAC RICHMOND of Blackwall in the County of Middlesex Shipwright and my Sons JONATHAN WHITTHORNE and WILLIAM WHITTHORNE their heirs and assigns for ever to be equally divided between them share and share alike as tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants also I give and bequeath all and every my ready money and Securities for money household furniture and all other my Estate and Effects whatsoever unto and to the use of my said Wife MARY ANN WHITTHORNE for her own sole benefit and advantage And I do hereby nominate Constitute and appoint my said Wife MARY ANN WHITTHORNE and STEPHEN ELLIOTT of the parish of Saint Mary in the hundred of Hoo in the said County of Kent Yeoman Executrix and Executor of this my last will and testament and hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills and Codicils by me at any time heretofore made I do declare this only to be and contain my last Will and testament In Witness whereof I the said JOHN WHITTHORNE the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seven JNO WHITTHORNE Signed sealed published & declared by the said JOHN WHITTHORNE the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have Subscribed our names as witnesses thereto BENJAMIN HAITE MARY HAITE WM. POOLE
