Q. What sort of area did this school serve?
A. Hodsoll Street, Idley, New Street, and Ridley. Some of the Hodsoll Street children went to the Culverstone school, but some of them came over here.

Q. I suppose they all walked?
A. Yes.

Q. Mrs. Fletcher (Edie) – Mr. Meyers’ daughter?
A. Yes.

Q. Do you know anything about Mrs. Mitchell who used to live down at the flint bungalow?
A. Yes, but she’s dead. She was Field’s daughter.

Q. Do you know anything about Mr. Tomlinson and Mr. Simpkin?
A. No.

Q. Who was on the staff at the time? You said Mr. Meyers and Mrs. Meyers?
A. Just the two.
