Abstract of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Geoffrey Copus.2005

Thomas Bathe of Chelsfield dated 26 March 1736

Abstract of the will of Thomas Bathe of Chelsfield husbandman dated 26 March 1736 [sic].
   I give my lands commonly called Coopers at Prats Bottom in the parish of Chelsfield containing by estimation 20 acres, now in my own occupation and lately in the occupation of Abraham Dalton, to my loving wife Ellen Bathe for life, and then to my son Andrew Bathe and his heirs for ever, subject to the payment of an annuity of £3 to my son Henry Bathe for life.
   I give to my wife £5 and to my son John Bathe £5.
   I give to my grandson Thomas Bathe and his heirs for ever all those my two cottages or tenements at Crockenhill in the parishes of Eynsford and St. Mary Cray or one of them.
   The residue of my personal estate I give to my son Andrew Bathe whom I appoint my Executor.
   Thomas Bathe witnesses Thomas Wakelin Richard X Shoebridge
Proved 22 October 1765 [sic] by Andrew Bath otherwise Bathe the son.   [PCC will PROB11/912]
