Abstract of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Geoffrey Copus.2005

John Brooks of Chelsfield dated 25 January 1844

Abstract of the will of John Brooks of Chelsfield farmer dated 25 January 1844.
   I give all my farming implements, horse and cart, all household furniture and all my other property to my son Philip Brooks my sole Executor.
    John Brooks witnesses Thomas Coleborn, Ann Brooks both of Chelsfield.
   In the goods of John Brooks deceased –
   On 15 May 1847 appeared personally Thomas Coleborn of Chelsfield and deposed that he is one of the subscribed witnesses to the will of John Brooks of Chelsfield deceased dated 25 January 1844 and that the said Testator duly executed the will in his presence and in that of Ann Brooks the other witness.
Proved on 19 May 1847 by Philip Brooks the son and sole Executor.      [PCC will PROB11/2055]
