Abstract of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Geoffrey Copus.2005

Thomas Smith of Chelsfield dated 10 September 1656

Abstract of the will of Thomas Smith of Chelsfield yeoman dated 10 September 1656.

   To be buried in Chelsfield churchyard.

   To my son Thomas Smith one brass pot, one joined table and one chest which were his grandfather Smith's, also one gun and one cross bow.

   To my daughter Alice --- one ewe and to every one of her children living one lamb apiece.

   To my daughter Ann --- £10 and to my daughter Elizabeth --- £10.

   All residue of my goods, corn, cattle and chattels to my beloved wife Alice whom I make my Executrix.

   Thomas x Smith Witnesses, Robert Milles, Francis Mace.
