YOUNG BARGEMAN DROWNED IN SIGHT OF HIS BROTHER
Kent Messenger, 16th September 1911
   A distressing fatality occurred in the Medway off Wouldham, on Saturday, a young bargeman, Henry T. Chapman, who was mate with his father in the barge, "Ninety-One", being drowned in sight of his young brother, who was unable to assist him.
   The unfortunate man who was 20 years of age, and resided with his parents at Cliffe Road, Strood, appears to have slipped and fallen overboard, and was not seen after he had once disappeared.
