Prerogative Court of Canterbury (P.C.C.) Wills  (Pre 1858)

Thomas Henry HASTRICK 1827

THIS IS THE LAST WILL and testament of me THOMAS HENRY HASTRICK of the Parish of Gillingham in the County of Kent Shipwright made the eleventh day of August One thousand eight hundred and twenty seven First I desire to be decently buried by and at the discretion of the Executors of this my Will I give and devise all that my Freehold Messuage or tenement with the Outbuildings Yards Garden and Appurtenances thereunto belonging Situated at Park Place New Brompton in the Parish of Gillingham aforesaid And all other my Freehold Estate whatsoever unto my Sister JANE STONE to hold the same unto her the said JANE STONE and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural life she keeping the same Premises in tenantable repair and Sufficiently insured in some reputable Insurance Office in the names of herself and of my said Executors against loss or damage by fire And from and after the decease of my said Sister JANE I give and devise the said Messuage or tenement with the Appurtenances and all other my said Freehold Estate unto and to the use of my Nephew GEORGE THOMAS HASTRICK his heirs and Assigns absolutely Also I give and bequeath unto my Brother HENRY GEORGE HASTRICK the legacy or Sum of thirty Pounds of lawful English money And I give and forgive him the debt which he now owes and which at the time of my death he may owe to me Also I give and bequeath unto the said GEORGE THOMAS HASTRICK (who is the Son of my Brother GEORGE DANIEL HASTRICK deceased ) the legacy or Sum of Sixty Pounds of like lawful money And all my working tools Wearing linen and Apparel Also I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my monies and Securities for money goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever (after and subject to the Payment thereout of my just debts Funeral Expenses and the Cost of Proving this my Will) unto the said JANE STONE her Executors Administrators and Assigns And I do make nominate and appoint the said HENRY GEORGE HASTRICK and GEORGE THOMAS HASTRICK Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do revoke and declare void all former Wills and Codicils by me made In Witness whereof I the said THOMAS HENRY HASTRICK the testator have hereunto set my hand and Seal that day and year first above written THOS HENRY HASTRICK Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said THOMAS HENRY HASTRICK the testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our hands as Witnesses JO.
