The History of Education in the Village of Ash next Ridley, Kent. (1735-1950)

Ash aforesaid and as a residence for the teacher or teachers of the said school and for no other purpose which said School shall always be in union and conducted upon the principles and in furtherance of the ends and designs of the Incorporated National Society for promoting the education of the Poor in the principals of the established Church throughout England and Wales AND IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that the entire control and management of the said School and of the funds and endowments thereof shall be vested in the Rector for the time being of the Parish of Ash PROVIDED ALWAYS that if at any time hereafter the Bishop

of  the Diocese in which the said school is situate shall see fit by and with the consent of the said incumbent to appoint under his hand and seal a Committee of Management for the said school then such a Committee of Management to be appointed in such manner and for such period as the said Bishop by and with the consent of the aforesaid may direct shall thenceforth have the control and management of the said School and of the funds and endowments thereof IN WITNESS whereof I the said Multon Lumbarde have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of May One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Three.
