Teacher: Inquiry Refused
The Disciplinary Sub-Committee of the Kent Education
Committee have refused an application for a public enquiry into
the dismissal of Miss Wright, from her post of Head Mistress of
Ash village school, near Dartford.
At a public meeting, which demanded her reinstatement, Miss
Wright, who had been at the school for nearly 30 years, said she
was given no reason for her dismissal. The Disciplinary
Sub-Committee state that Miss Wright has agreed to their
decision that she be reinstated till June and be granted two
months holiday to cover that period.
