to poor of Ashford  -  £3 to be distributed by friend Thomas James, clerk
    brother Edmond Thorpe, neece Rebeccah Purichard and brother John Thorpe  - £10 each
    Thomas James  -  £5 to preach funeral sermon, and books
    son-in-law John Tookey   -  £20
    Mr John Tournay - books called Dr Willis' Silvius and Morton's
    John Mills -  books, Riverius and Barbett
    grandson Thomas Martin - all other books, or if deceased before aged 16 years, to nephew
           Edmond Thorpe.
    all maid servants at my death  - £10 each
    all boy servants at death      - 5sh each
    daughter Elizabeth, wife of John Tookey  -  bed linen
    granddaughter Elizabeth Martin - copyhold messuage in Ashford, occupied by wid.Tookey
    Presbyterian minister in Ashford - £5 p.a. for 20 years
            Presbyterian Meeting to have free use of my house in Ashford, as now, but Thomas James may
           live there for 11 years

    son-in-law John Tookey - 30 acres of land in Lydd
                granddaughter Elizabeth Martin - lands in Old and New Romney, and in Hope all Saints, or if no
           heir to my brothers Edmond and John Thorpe
    grandson Thomas Martin - land in Newchurch, dwelling in Ashford and all other property

residue to grandson Thomas Martin

Executors :Thomas James and Thomas Waterman jun. and to have £5 each

Witnesses : Wm Barrett, Elizabeth ffowle, Katherine Plummer and Jno Maskall
