Abstract of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Geoffrey Copus.2005

William Stow of Chelsfield dated 21 February 1840

Abstract of the will of William Stow the elder of Chelsfield Hall yeoman dated 21 February 1840.
   I give to my eldest daughter Sophia, wife of Robert Vincent of Seal, Kent, carrier £150.
   I give to my third daughter Eleanor the wife of William Southern [sic] of Wye near Canterbury general shopkeeper £150.
   I leave all residue of my estate both real and personal to be equally divided between my other children, namely William Stow my eldest son who now resides with me at Chelsfield Hall, Thomas Booth Stow, Edward Stow and my second daughter Matilda Stow who resides with me, and to their respective heirs, as tenants in common, subject nevertheless to any deduction for any sums of money or the value of other property which any of them may have received from me in my lifetime.
   I appoint my said son Edward Stow and my nephew William Stow of Farnborough Hall, Kent, Executors.
   Wm: Stow witnesses Robt: Booth Latter, Solicitor, Bromley John Fox, Farnborough, Kent Thos: Stow, Farnborough Hall.
Proved 22 April 1840 by Edward Stow the son and William Stow the nephew.  [PCC will PROB11/1926]
