Meopham Local History Posters - from an exhibition held in 1995

14.  Spencer Gore 1878-1914, and the Meopham Link  To Poster

Spencer Gore a painter of The Camden Town Group lived at Holywell Park at Hodsoll Street, Ash.

Pictures of him with his father Spencer William and his brother George. A family tree, a picture of Holywell Park, colour images of some of his paintings and notes about his life. 

He died in Richmond, Surrey in 1914. His widow, Molly, settled eventually in Meopham and lived in Dorrington Cottage (picture shown) until her death in 1968.
