John Ewell my son, 12 acres of land in the parish of
Reculver, and to her heirs, but if none, then to Joan my dau. That my
croft of land at Upper Strode of three acres, with appurts., shall
maintain a yearly Obit in the Church of Herne for ever, for my soul,
