Aspects of Kentish Local History

Fawkham and Ash Archaeological Group (FAAG)

The discovery and excavation of a Late Iron-Age and Early Roman Farmstead at
   Martin's Quarry, Longfield, Kent 1974 and 1979 TQ6084/6842

Acknowledgements and Diggers Attendance

We are greatly indebted to Mr R. Gagg and his interest and help through-out the period of excavation, and in particular for delaying the starting of the removal of chalk for marling whilst allowing time for our excavations.
Thanks also to all those volunteer diggers, members of the Fawkham & Ash Archaeological Group (FAAG), Dartford District Archaeological Group (DDAG), S.E. London Archaeological Group (SELAG)  the Lower Medway Archaeological Group (LMAG) and Otford District Archaeological Group (ODAS). They often worked in atrocious winter weather. Thanks to FAAG members who carried out the washing and processing of the finds. The following have contributed to the preparation of this archive: Roger Cockett, Pam & Ted Connell, Gerald & Gillian Cramp and Albert Daniels.
Listed below are the names and dates of those individuals that helped.
